Somebody got a brilliant idea to pair Swati and Kamal together in a movie, fantastic. But beyond that, there is nothing that we have not seen earlier. Put together scenes from Sankarabharanam and a few coffee shop scenes from your typical college scene movies and there you have it.
Kamal is capable of much more, Avakaya biryani showed us a sliver of what he can turn out to be.... he is wasted most of the time. Swati is still her college preppy self, I guess it will be hard to outgrow that for her - much as all of us(including a middleage me!) like her, she is an unlikely transplant in those music scenes... Good pair of actors miscast in typical movie roles - we know how it will end even as we watch the movie.
Swati's range is limited, Kamal can do better than this - some one seems to have told him to focu on his curves.... while he is certainly better than the today's crop of "sons and grandsons of NTR and ANR", he will need to improve his diction and add some meat to his face - drink a little beer man!
This movie while a let down, given the expectations we had for it, is still a family entertainer. Bharani is his usual professional self, kottina pindi.
Pros: The cast, family values
Cons: predictable story, poor script
