This is one of the few B-grade movies you see where the title actually has some
significance in the story. The movie opens in the Blue Angel Café (by the way,
the ads are misspelling the name), a fairly decent nightclub, where Angie is a
singer. She is slowly getting popular, when Richard, an aspiring politician, goes
there one night with his wife and some friends. He is pretty impressed by her,
and can't get her out of his head. He somehow comes across a photo of hers in
a book, on which an invitation for a date is written.
