'It's not about the money. It's about the money.' Thus reads the tag line of Confidence.

Confidence is another one of those battered and over-used con-game plots. The filmmakers' job is to fool you, so the viewer's job becomes trying not to get fooled.

Jake Vig (Edward Burns) in the lead role is the handsome, smug, slick, suave dead guy. When he was not (dead we mean), he and his gang had snuffed out a guy who, it turns out, was holding the stolen money for a mob boss nicknamed the King (Dustin Hoffman).
