The increase in the number of inter-caste and inter-regional marriages proves that the new generation does not care much about identity crises. That they leave to their parents, who insist on holding on to their relative ancient beliefs and outlooks. The fact also remains, however, that a marriage is rarely about the two individuals who decide to spend their lives together.
