Zack Snyder is definitely a winner here. His latest movie ‘Man of Steel’ with Henry, the talented, as Superman, who has both great body and chiselled looks, is a clear-cut money earner.
Except for a few dull moments, the overall movie is a roller-coaster ride. My kids thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it, with my young one asking too many questions:-).
I think this franchise was better than the recently released, normally superb, Iron Man 3.
It looks like screenplay, photography, CGI, direction, production, background score, action, etc… almost all the 24 departments of film industry worked in tandem to give us this fully commercial hit cinema. I would say that this picture is one of the best movies I watched this year. Go watch!
When Man Of Steel opens, an unprepared member of the audience will take a few moments to find his ground - this is the victory of the comic book and science fiction nerds, writ large on a tent-pole summer film from a major studio. The sheer amount of world-building detail expended on Krypton, Superman's home planet, is staggering to behold. Mixing futurist design with Geiger aesthetic and a surreal sense of the other-worldly, the opening shows an alien planet in the most alien, and yet relatable, way imaginable.
