This movie has been reviewed and commented on to death. So, I will not share all my thoughts.
I found something funny and interesting in fullhyd's archives - http://www.fullhyderabad.com/profile/movies/2118/2. This movie was originally titled the same as the book it was based on, and had an entirely different star cast (or was rumored to). Wonder how it turned out in that parallel universe.

Getting expectations right from 3 Idiots mostly consists of a once-over of the names associated with the project. It is a Rajkumar Hirani film - walk past the threshold of wit and humour, and it is a film laden with comfortingly moralistic stances.
