Strange, fullhyd has not reviewed this yet. I was pleasantly surprised to see Cage not doing a bad movie for a change (Wicker man, anyone?). And though this one does not reach the heights of Port of call: New Orleans, it is a serviceable men-on-a-mission tale set just after the crusades, with Cage, Perlman having deserted the Crusades, seeking shelter in a small town, finding themselves on another mission for the Church, involving the transportation of a purported witch, who is said to have caused various plague related deaths. As usual, we have a rag-tag bunch of various movie stereotypes, being led by Cage's character, braving the dangers of the wild and along the path to the final destination. Barring some bad CGI, and a lot of predictable twists, this one has some good performances, locations and narrative that tries to entertain. No point watching it on the big screen, esp. not at the IMAX cinema, that's playing a 35mm print.
Pros: Locations, Performances, Chemistry among the leads Cons: CGI, Predictable twists, Cage's hairpiece, Under-usage of Perlman and Thomsen, A weak Robert Sheehan
