Harriet Beecher Stowe gave us the classic, Uncle Tom's Cabin, in 1852. Very little is known, however, of another book that was published the next year - 12 Years A Slave. This was a memoir, narrated by Solomon Northup, and was edited by David Wilson. The book came and went, but about a century later, two historians, on separate occasions, validated the facts of the story after their own individual research. And now, it is the talk of the western film fraternity, especially after the release of the movie, 12 Years A Slave, by Steve McQueen, that has been nominated for all possible awards at var....
