What do you think about the fact that most of the suspense films to come out of Bollywood have college students as their main characters? Going by their fate, I presume, not much. Except for Khiladi almost all of them have bombed, atleast in the '90s. This one will definitely join the list.
Another fancy college, where students barely study, has two groups - The Mobile Group (they all carry mobile phones) and The Rampuri Group (they carry knives). The former is at the crux of the plot: a gang of some eight students - both guys and gals - is notorious for its pranks. These students target Alok, a new and a sincere student with a flair for science, till one of their pranks leads to his death. The principal of the college decides to hush the incident and labels it as an accident.
Soon after this, the members of the group start getting killed and the suspicion rests on the two members of the Rampuri group - John and Rana. But circumstances contrive to point the needle of suspicion on a variety of characters. All the members of the group get killed, except for Ravi and Suman, the lead pair. So, who is the murderer? Do you really want to know? Well then, you will have to watch the movie, and my advice would be, don't bother.
Expectedly, the film is replete with circumstantial and factual glitches. The performances are below par and the comedy track isn't all that funny, either. So, what then was the director banking on? I'd say, a few raunchy dance numbers and the 'whodunnitt' parts. The music is passable, but just as you think the movie is about to end, a couple of them pop-up. There are three in all, so you aren't really expecting the last two so late in the film. The climax drags a bit.
