All of us have at some point or the other wanted to join a rock band. Even if we think a guitar is that thing with white and black keys. Okay, make that all of us who are not on dope, drugs, trips, high, ecstasy, LSD, heroin and abuzz. Or vice versa.
School Of Rock is about a rock guitarist and vocalist Dewey Finn (Jack Black) who has been fired from his band. He takes up a job as a 4th grade substitute teacher at an uppity private school. Now, his free living, free falling, easy going lifestyle and antics is imperiled at the school.
He also influences the students greatly. So much so that he is entrusted with the job of getting a 9-year old guitar prodigy, Yuki, to make it as the lead guitarist of a band, symbiotically helping him reclaim his repute as a rocker.
Judging by the uproarious reviews this movie has received, it should not be missed.
