Daaku Raamkali is the latest rehash of Sholay - or shall we say Bandit Queen?
Sher Singh and Arjun Singh are twin brothers (played by Kiran Kumar). While Arjun Singh is a sincere and honest cop, Sher Singh becomes a dacoit under the influence of Bajrang (Sadashiv Amrapukar), Abu Aalu (Shakti Kapoor) and Seth Danraj (Mohan Joshi).
Strangely, even Sher Singh's daughter Champa and Arjun Singh's daughter Raamkali are twins (and I suspect even their mothers are twins!).
Seth Dhanraj and his friends kill Arjun Singh, and the blame is put on Sher Singh. Sher Singh escapes from jail and tries to kill Dhanraj and his friends, but ends up getting killed. Meanwhile, Champa falls in love with Shankar who is Seth Dhanraj's son and dances with him in some transparent clothing. The next moment she ends up with the baby making her, probably the only heroine in the history on Indian Cinema to deliver a child within seconds of a duet.
Shankar leaves home to join the police force, in order to earn a living. Surprisingly, he tells Champa that he will marry only after returning from training! What is more surprising is that Champa, with a child in her arms, doesn't even request him marry before leaving!
Raamkali takes up arms to avenge her father's death. Dhanraj and his friends now go on a killing spree, killing Raamkali's mother, her sister and Champa's baby. Raamkali, too, in the process of avenging the death of her parents and sister, gets killed.
Champa now dons the mantle of Raamkali and sets out to finish the task. Shankar too returns as a police officer and they team up. The result is predictable.
There is nothing much to watch in the movie. And beware! You cannot sue Daaku Raamkali for your ticket money!
