Here's another romance falling prey to the opportunistic distributors who give
it the getup of a sleaze flick and present it to our ever voracious voyeur who,
without doubt, gets disappointed at seeing the film and starts whining about his
lost money and time.
What could have been an intense romance fails to ignite possibly due to some monetary commitment and the freezing cold of the locales - most of the film has been shot in what look like the Alps.
John Eves, on a holiday in the Alps, is smitten by the beautiful Suzy Chaffe, who is a ski-champion. He tries to convince her about reciprocation, apart from trying to prove that he is also her equal on the slopes. Love blossoms among some breathtaking scenes in some of the most fantastic ski slopes of the world.
When they find time from lovemaking they discuss their common interest, snow. After sometime another character also gets involved in their relationship, a twist absolutely unwanted. Some misunderstandings later everything gets back to normal and the skiing progresses.
Fire And Ice is a decent film, considering the honesty that has been put into
building the romance. Quite an irony, the kind of movie it has been presented
as.
