The first few reels of the movie looked really promising, which shows how misleading the first few reels of a movie can be. All that the movie offers afterwards is NTR's grandson trying to cash in on the star's fame. He seemed proud of that fact. No complaints. His grandfather, his wish.
Bhadradri Ramudu (Tarak) has only one ambition in life. He wants to get married and give birth to his grandfather. Before we proceed any further we must understand that this movie is nothing without certain sentiments. Even with those sentiments it is nothing. Here's a taste of those sentiments:
1. If Bhadradri doesn't refer to NTR in every sentence, he will be electrocuted by a bolt of lightening. That is not a nice thing to happen to a person after working so hard on his get-up.
2. If the makers don't show NTR's pictures and stills in every scene, they will be electrocuted by a bolt of lightening. That is not a nice thing to happen to people after producing a movie.
3. If the audience does not like this movie, they will be electrocuted by a bolt of lightening. That is not a nice thing to happen to the people who we want to make idiots of.
4. Any other stupid thing you don't like, you'll be electrocuted by a bolt of lightening. And you'd want to be electrocuted also after all this.
With so much sentiment, Bhadradri finds himself a girl who he thinks is fit to give birth to his grandpa. How come both Bhadradri and his grandma are so sure that there will only be a male child? They're not sure. But they know surgeries can do wonders these days. Another sentiment we forgot to mention.
After Bhadradri marries that typical girl, she runs away. Maybe she's an ANR fan and doesn't like to have NTR as a son. Maybe. But the real reason? She's jinxed with her first marriage. Whoever she marries first will die.
She's the daughter of a rich Vanisri, and she wants to marry her boyfriend in Germany. So she happily runs away to Germany, after dummy-marrying Bhadradri. From pattu cheera to spaghetti tops in no time.
Bhadradri follows her to Germany. He teaches her mom and her brothers a lesson in anger. Teaches his wife a lesson on the values of a mangalasutram. Teaches the German kids a lesson in chekka bhajana. Pity nobody teaches him how to deliver dialogues.
Still he manages to win the hearts of everyone there. The first half of the movie has this pseudo native Telugu feel to it. The second half has this pseudo NRI feel to it. It becomes really difficult to pick which half was worse.
The music remains the best part of the movie. And someone please send back Vanisri to the zoo she escaped from. Actually, someone send everybody back into the zoo they escaped from.
