A well documented feature film about the life and times of Sri Sai Baba. The simplicity
and wisdom of this saint has been brought to screen with a refreshing sincerity.
A lot of attention has been given to ensure factual accuracy.
The movie begins with Sri Sai Baba, settling down in Shirdi. From here on the
narration gives us an insight into the teachings, simplicity and religious tolerance
of this revered saint. With the aid of computer graphics, the miracles performed
by Sai Baba are shown with a unique reality. The aspect that stands out in this
movie is the devotional music. There are plenty of hymns which have all been well
composed. There is nothing much one can write about this movie, for the very reason
that it is more of a documentary on the life of Sai Baba.
The star cast has been chosen with care, Sai Prakash, a Kannada actor plays the
role of Sai Baba. His uncanny physical resemblance to the saint makes his portrayal
convincing. The supporting characters are fairly competent. The direction and
cinematography of Ashok Kumar is slick and music by Aditya Paudwal is refreshing.
