This time the agony was handled out not by the filmakers but by the theater
management. The projection kept on skipping reels, sometimes taking the liberty
to insert some real porn stuff. I can't even say if those portions belonged
to the movie or not. You could hardly figure out anything from the plot. The
few fragments that I could recall, I will try and present.
A few friends decide to go out for the weekend to a guy's place out in the
woods. On arriving there, one of them discovers a corpse-like thing. The guy
Richard (Eddie Bouz), whose place it is, explains that it is some sort of a
dummy that he used to play with. Like the moron that he is, Richard asks everyone
to consider the dummy, Monty, as some sort of a guardian to whom they can confess
their deepest fears. After that something happens and the dummy keeps moving
around and strange things happen. To the best of my knowledge, no one dies.
But then, like I said earlier, it's difficult to be sure of anything.
There is supposed to be Wes Craven somewhere in the cast. I, for one, couldn't
identify him. If you can, please let me know, 'cos I don't believe that he chose
to appear in the kind of stuff that can very well illustrate confusion itself.
And an actual man played the character of Monty. Eric Cuiss is the name given,
but the makers could have done with a puppet. It's that stupid.
So, what's the movie about? Piece together the puzzle if you can. All the best.
