It is like one of those spam mails on the Net that promise you a fortune upon
clicking on them. You are either taken through a maze of such links or are abruptly
declared an ass. Similarly, a title like 'Vayasu Valapu' makes the forever-optimistic
voyeurs that throng the countless seedy theaters in town expect fireworks throughout
the ninety minutes that they sit there. But the title is as beguiling as is the
crassness of the film. A 10-year-old Tamil film dubbed into Telugu, this one is
third degree torture inflicted upon its poor viewers who have come for some harmless
moments of vicarious pleasures.
Rosie comes to the city to live with her friend Mary in a hostel after she has been sexually harassed by her uncle. She starts working and comes across a photographer Ramesh who impresses her with his decency. She becomes a model under his tutelage.
After seducing her one night, Ramesh ditches her. Enraged, she decides to avenge her insult. She joins as an apprentice to an old lawyer who has a bad sex life with his wife.
The loyal Rosie decides to set things right for her boss and his wife and she does succeed.
Now Ramesh resurfaces as a blackmailer who takes photographs of the lawyer's driver seducing the lawyer's wife after drugging her. Rosie comes to know of this, and declaring the protection of her boss' married life as her mission, kills Ramesh and the driver and finally commits suicide.
Its title is the only selling point of this film to the niche target that throngs
such flicks. You wouldn't go for this one unless you needed to review it yourself.
