It is but natural to assume that women love and cherish the finer things in
life, ranging from an expensive glittery diamond to a delicate rose. They seem
to appreciate and understand their beauty far better than men do. But Sexy
Tommy has blown this theory to smithereens. This movie has got nothing to
with sex, but everything to do with the capabilities and strengths of the fairer
sex. This is an all-out female-oriented movie, with Betsy Russell starring in
the lead role as Tommy.
Tommy is a rather unusual young woman who has absolutely no interest in boys,
make-up or gossip. She loves automobiles, and is happiest when she is either
fixing them or racing them. Her dream is to race in the Daytona Grand Prix in
a car designed and built by her. She achieves this dream by beating Randy Starr
(Jerry Denome), the best driver in the racing circuit, in a challenge race,
but not before falling in love with him.
The theme for this movie is commendable, but rather unfortunately none of the
cast could act nor could the director handle the movie, resulting in this haphazard
product.
