This is a story that revolves around the famous dragon festival, and its importance and significance in the Chinese culture and history. To participate in this festival is a matter of great honor and pride. In ancient China, special cultural groups were formed for this purpose. These groups spent their time preparing for the festival. The rewards for winning were high, and this led to it turning from an entertaining game to a violent battle for supremacy.

Our hero Jet Li belongs to one of these cultural clubs that participates in the annual dragon festival. And he is the one who decides to put an end to this dangerous game. As he goes about doing this, he finds time to fall in love and also save the emperor's life.

Hardcore Jet Li fans will love this movie. It has all usual ingredients - loads of action and stunts. The only thing that baffle you are the gravity-defying martial arts. Each and every fight is fought in mid-air. An impassioned plea to the Chinese: Please, please share this secret of flying with the rest of the world. It can help reduce air traffic and crashes.
