In all honesty, when you go for a movie that you know is semi-porn, you expect
to see nudity and erotic scenes. But the management at the theater is worse than
our censor board. In spite of the movie's being given an 'A' certificate, they
hack away most of the scenes, and in the process chop out half the story. This
movie is a good example of such shoddy 'editing'. The reels of the film that are
screened are one big puzzle that you have no choice but to try and solve, especially
if you are, like I am, required to review the film.
Alexandra is a young and pretty graduate from a poor family, and is burdened
with the responsibility of managing her family. And since it is being made as
an erotic movie, she is raped by her boss. With her innocence lost and the burden
of her responsibility, she accepts her fate and decides to become a professional
mistress to the highest bidder. Sad, right! But Elwood Perez (the director) is
happy. He can now show all the nudity and love making scenes that he wants to
without being questioned for 'appropriateness' to the script.
The entire movie from here on end is Alexandra's life as a mistress. The very
family for whom she sacrificed her virginity and pride rejects her. With nothing
to live for, she becomes totally engrossed in the business of seduction. But,
when she rubs one of rich lovers the wrong way and her life is in danger, Alexandra
realizes the error of her ways and returns home. There, nothing in the movie to
attract an elite audience, and with most of the erotic scenes chopped, there's
nothing for the target clientéle either.
