Bachelors Review

Planning to rent your house to bachelors and don't know a thing about them? Then this is it! See it and you will never think twice before pulling down the To-Let board. A foul-minded, foul-mouthed film, Bachelors reflects the mind-set of today's youth in the country.

The film doesn't score on the plot, which is only a frame for the real subject - the sexual escapades of four guys. Throwing their studies to the winds, they are caught up in the search for sexual experiences, just 'to get a feel of it'.

Their nightly rendezvous makes them experiment on everything related to sex - from porn flicks to prostitutes. And their bitterly funny adventures provide you with bellyaches of laughter. Never mind the plot, the quartet doesn't let you down as far as the gags are concerned. They have been selected carefully and a lot of research seems to have gone into it.

Even the girls don't seem to lag behind. They have their share of sly ones, targetted at the moralistic culture cops. A raunchy teenage comedy, it sounds as a caution to the elders about the behaviour of the youth in the new millennium.

It's an interesting attempt on the part of producer-director, Sana Yadi Reddy, to do something different with a youth movie. And he handles it well despite an all new cast. The photography is an asset throughout, and the photographer needs to be commended for the good work done.

A feel-good movie for the youth, it goes well for them from frame one. It is laughs all the way, and if fathers are having problems with their college-going children, this is the movie they have to watch. For it will make them realize how deep the generation gap is. For all those guys out there who don't know what to do bunking classes, there can never be a better option than to watch this movie.
