Yes, the hoardings outside all say 'Naughty Love', but this movie is what you'll
find inside. Really naughty theater management. And I'm yet to see a more disjointed
collection of images. I'm pretty sure I watched bits and pieces of at least 3
movies in the pathetic 50 minutes of this 'film'.
The story of Cold Sweat for what it's worth - Kim and Larry are a married couple,
and Shawn is Larry's business partner. On a totally different track, Mark is a
hired assassin. In fact the movie opens with him killing off a very 'promising'
couple (to the great disappointment of the voyeuristic audience). We had gotten
about this far when the 'snippets' of the other 2 movies that I mentioned made
their appearance. They weren't exactly unwelcome as the ongoing movie wasn't exactly
exciting, and these trailer-type things were undoubtedly what the majority of
the audience was there for.
Anyway, after that there was no hope of getting back to the 'story' of 'Cold Sweat'. All I could make out from then on was that Larry hires Mark to kill Kim, Kim and Shawn have something going on and they in turn get together and kill Larry. Then, in the climax scene, Mark comes back and some other lover of Kim comes in and kills Shawn. It was one of those movies where you just sit and watch people moving about without having the faintest idea what's going on. And in this case, it wouldn't be your fault.
As usual, the trailers (and the snippets) were the best part of the whole thing.
Maybe if you went to the theater, you'd catch the movie that's supposed to be
playing! If you do, please let us know how that turned out!
