First there was DDLJ, half of which had a marital background, and then there was KKHH, which had a marital climax. And Yash Raj films continues with its obsession with marriages. This movie however outdoes all the earlier ones, as it is all about marriage - right from the title to the credits at the end.

Bracing myself against the veritable flood of tears that most of these films have and the tons and tons of melodrama they usually bury you under, I tentatively ventured forth. To add to my apprehension was Uday Chopra who had done a pretty good job of bugging most of the audience in Mohabbattein. Fingers - and everything else - crossed.

The flick starts off well. Sanjay (Uday Chopra) and Ria (Bipasha Basu) are friends who give up trying to have an affair and decide to be just friends. Sanjay comes to know his jigri yaar Anjali (Sanjana) is getting married. One song later (in which we come to know that Anjali is mostly a doll-faced girl) Ria tells the guy that he is in love with Anjali. He confesses without much fuss that she is right. Now it's time to sabotage the wedding and win Anjali for himself.

Now the regular elements of the Yash Raj banner. Big house, big family and aunties with big posteriors. Marriage atmosphere. Dulha Rohit (Jimmy Shergil), an America-based doctor, enters the scene. A

few pranks later Rohit comes to know that Sanjay is trying to be an agent provocateur. Ria too tries to help Sanjay by entering and trying to make Anjali 'J'. All fails and finally Ria exits, closely followed by Sanjay as no one wants a mess. Quite sensible. Rohit finds out at the last moment that Anjali has always loved Sanjay and helps unite the lovers.

For once the places where directors just can't resist unleashing the melodrama have been left untapped, and the characters actually act like regular homosapiens. Uday Chopra for once is tolerable, and some of the girls in the theater actually found him 'cute'! Women!

Jimmy Shergil plays a dignified role and looks good in black. Sanjana doesn't do much but look pretty, but executes the last climax-wallah scene really well. This girl's got potential. Bipasha is an add-on bonus.

Good music and nice execution with the regular Yash Raj incentives of the feel-good factor and lots of pretty girls make this a decent flick on the whole. This marriage may be a take-off on My Best Friend's Wedding, with a title that's a direct translation, but with eye candy of this quality delivered without the regular painful catches, you could actually attend this wedding. Like the posters say, you're invited.

I liked the movie but I did not like the ending of this movie. Because my favourite actor Jimmy is heart broken.
