Noting this down I looked up in the nick of time to catch the ending. Shriya gets Tarun. This came as being banal to me, but my dear Sealman was ecstatic. Actually he was half up in the air, hands clapping and yelping. Having not liked the flick one bit, I wanted to really know how he enjoyed it. So I asked "Did you enjoy the movie?" In reply to that, he looked at me as if I had suddenly grown another head. "You haven't seen
Tum Bin, have you?" I enquired. "Yelp. Snort snort, schmuck," he said indignantly. That was the last I had seen him. Hopefully.
Tum Bin. Saying this would've saved you a lot of pain of reading through, but I have to meet my word count you see. Ela Cheppanu even has lead characters with the same names as in Tum Bin. Tum Bin was at least an above average grosser due to its enchanting music. Music in this one had even the Sealman dig into his bag of shrimps. Comedy by Sunil, Bramhanandam and co might become a saving grace. Overall, though, Ela Cheppanu comes as a damp remake for people who've seen Tum Bin. I have, so sorry mates, it gets a bad rating. And for the ones who haven't seen the Hindi version, maybe you'll enjoy it. If you tag along your pet seals, that is.
