Khushi, like its Tamil and
Telugu original, is over-the-top and often hyperventilates to cacophonic levels, but on the whole it's entertaining fare, total paisa vasool. It sails through rather effortlessly for the simple reason that it expressly avoids all that cloyingly mushy stuff and sentimental kibosh that are associated with love stories. Then, of course, the presence of Kareena, Fardeen and a few capital songs.
The Hindi version of Khushi is director Suryah's third take, and it's not surprising why the movie matches frame to frame with its previous versions. Even photocopies may have a slight change in the print resolution as compared to the original, but this one is a scene-by-scene copy-paste job.
